Im kinda confused, but i’ll try.
If you want to add content using Joomla you have to go into the admin and create a new article and then create a new link.
http://www.example.com/administrator
Login with the account details you used when you created the MySQL database.
Are you saying that you installed Joomla on your local machine, and you want to upload your website files from the powweb host to the Joomla installation on your computer?
Joomla is not a website designer for you to create your web site in and then upload the files to your host server, and you don’t access it from your host server.
Joomla is a content management system that has to be installed on the machine with the web server.
You access Joomla by logging into that web server machine on powweb using the Joomla application that is installed on their machine, not your machine.
Are you setting up your computer as a web server?
If you want to keep your website on powweb, then Joomla has to be installed on the powweb machine. Don’t know anything about powweb, but unless you’ve got like a high end hosting package, I doubt they will allow you to install any kind of backend software on their machines.
You don’t have to install Joomla manually.
Powweb includes one click installation of Joomla through their control panel. Just go to InstallCentral and install it. You’ll have it up and running in just a couple of minutes.
If you tried to install it manually, just delete everything you’ve installed and use InstallCentral. It’s a lot easier, and it will work right away.
